It is with pleasure that we at HBI, a fully accredited and recognized Bible Institute, present to you our newest addition to the H.O.P.E Bible Institute Vision. It is called the HBI Center for Messianic Studies, which has been designed and developed as a unique program specifically geared towards the critical interpretation of Scripture from a Messianic viewpoint. This one year program is of significant interest to those who wish to commit themselves to academic excellence in the areas of Messianic Theology, Messianic Prophecy, Messianic Apologetics, and Messianic Eschatology.
It is now possible to earn a Diploma in Messianic Studies in only one year, without conflicting with your daily schedule.
THE CONCEPT
This program is built around a once per week class meeting, consisting of a weekly assignment of reading the Scriptures, along with a workbook, which will be made available to the student at NO CHARGE! Classes will consist of three-hour sessions, with a combination of intensive teaching, practical training, and a unequally structured program of study, designed to make the student become more proficient in the handling of Gods Word, and more confident the presenting of the Messiah. Classes will be taught by Dr. Benjamin Rosen, PhD, President and primary educator of HBI. With over twenty five years of teaching in every area of Messianic Prophecy, Apologetics, Hermeneutics, and other related fields, Dr. Rosen comes to this program with the experience and knowledge that will provide the student with the highest caliber of teaching. Dr. Rosen has spent many years teaching Pastors, trained leaders, missionaries, and educators the truths of Messianic Theology, and the practical application of those truths to the Jew for salvation and discipleship.
THE OBJECTIVES
There are three main objectives for students of this program:
· To develop a high level of proficiency in studying, researching, and presenting the truths of Scripture from a Messianic perspective.
· To gain and utilize a thorough knowledge of the Biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek in the understanding and exegesis of Messianic Prophecy.
· To ignite a passion for the Word of God, and to teach effective ministry methods of evangelizing the Word of God to the Jew and Gentile.
THE COURSES
This one year program will consist of six course of study as follows:
· Jesus in the Tabernacle- a twelve week course of intensive study of the Tabernacle of Moses. The significance of the Tabernacle, its purpose, ministry, furniture, hidden meanings, and Messianic truths will be brought out in an intensive, but easy to understand format. The student will see the whole plan of God for salvation through this course of study, with a detailed understanding of Yeshuas life, death, burial, resurrection, and exaltation through this most vivid picture in the Old Testament.
· Messianic Prophecy- This course will cover Messianic Prophecy from Adam to Yeshua, covering the entire Old Testament , from Genesis to Malachi. The main prophecies of the hidden Messiah in the Old Testament will be studied, and the student will gain a complete understanding and knowledge of Jesus in the Old Testament. This course will provide the student with all of the tools needed to minister the Messiah of the Jews to the Jewish person.
· Jesus in the Priesthood- a detailed study of the Aaronic Priesthood, the Sacrificial system, and the the hidden Messiah in the Levitical Priesthood. A very exciting and eye opening program of study for those that love the Old Testament. The student will be amazed at Yeshua in the Levitical offerings.
· Jesus in the Seven Feasts of Israel- after finishing this program of study, the student will understand the whole plan of salvation through the feasts of Israel. The student will also be able to experience some of the foods and traditions of these feasts.
· Messianic Apologetics- this course will equip the student to prove the Gospel from an Old Testament standpoint, using the Old Testament only. The student will gain a thorough knowledge of evangelizing the Jew, as well as the Gentile. The student will be able to defend their faith, and gain a proficiency in handling Gods Word.
· Messianic Eschatology- this course will deal with the future things. We will be doing a complete study of the Book of Revelation, with respect to Gods plan for the Jew, the nation of Israel, and the Church. We will be dealing with the events that are before us today, as well as how they tie into the total plan of God for mankind.
COSTS
Because HBI wishes that all people be properly equipped with a thorough knowledge of the Word of God, we have prepared an extremely affordable package to the student. The one year program will consist of six courses of study, over a 52 week period, starting on September 18th, 2003. Classes will be held every Thursday, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with a break in between. The classes will be taught at H.O.P.E Ministries, 14781 Sperry Rd, Newbury, Ohio. Classes will be informal but intensive.
